ADVENTURE WORKS HAIKU HIKES™

Experience the urban wilderness of Seattle's spectacular parks and along the easy to moderate hiking trails of the Mountain to Sound Greenway. Youth and adult participants learn the joys of our natural world and how we can protect it. Our HAIKU HUKES™ outings incorporate physical exercise with writing exercise. You'll learn the Japanese form of poetry and connect with the natural world and its stories.

Adventure Works outings are an excellent team building exercise you can arrange for your organization or school.

  • Hikes begin at the trailhead (start times vary).
  • Hikers return to trailhead no later than 4:30 pm.
  • Please bring a lunch and 2 full 32 oz. water bottles.
  • Always be prepared for rain and cool temperatures.
  • A waterproof jacket and a warm non-cotton layer is required.
  • Rain or shine we have a good time!

Don't have the right gear? We can lend it to you for a moderate fee. We have non-cotton layers ( fleece and wool, rain jackets and hiking boots).
